Russian army tries to break through Ukraine's defense 25 times in Novopavlivka sector

Russian attacks across Ukraine

Russia launched 6 missile strikes, 79 airstrikes, and 62 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Multi-storey and private houses, as well as other infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged.

Frontline situation 

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. Certain units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire borderline with mortars and artillery: over 30 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. 

In the Kupyansk sector, Russia did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions. However, more than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled six enemy attacks near Terny, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, where the Russian army, supported by air power, tried to break through the Ukrainian defense. About 20 localities suffered from artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Bakhmut sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled four enemy attacks near Bohdanivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region, where Russia was trying to improve its tactical position. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 20 Russian attacks in the areas of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region. About 20 localities came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Defense Forces are holding back the Russian army in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, and south of Zolota Nyva in the Donetsk region, where the Russian troops tried to break through the Ukrainian defense 25 times. More than 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russia did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions. About 20 localities came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Kherson sector, the Russian army did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

Ukrainian strikes against Russian military positions 

Over the day, Ukrainian aviation struck 13 manpower concentration areas.

The missile troops targeted a Russian manpower concentration area, 2 artillery pieces, 3 control points, and 3 munitions depots.

• Serhiy Voronov, an officer with the Freedom Legion from the Marinka direction, said that the Russian army is trying to find weaknesses in the Ukrainian defense.
