Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. Certain units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

In the Kupyansk sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled three enemy attacks near Tabaivka, Kharkiv region. More than 20 localities came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled seven enemy attacks near the towns of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Terny, Spirne in the Donetsk region, where the Russian army, supported by air power, tried to break through the Ukrainian defense. About 15 localities suffered from artillery and mortar attacks.

More than 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russia launched 4 unsuccessful attacks near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region. More than 15 localities came under artillery and mortar fire.

Ukrainian strikes against Russian military positions

Over the course of the day, Ukrainian aviation struck 7 manpower concentration areas.

Missile troops destroyed 1 Russian munitions depot and 4 artillery pieces.

On the situation in the Avdiivka sector

Maksym Zhorin, deputy commander of the 3rd Assault Brigade, spoke about the situation in the Avdiivka sector.

"So far, Russia has not been able to push through the defense line in the Avdiivka sector. But they are trying to advance constantly, and trying to advance at least a little where possible. Most of all, they are now attacking the village of Orlivka," he wrote.

According to him, the invading Russian forces are suffering huge losses there, but despite this, they are trying to storm the area day and night.

  • At least 86 combat engagements took place at the front over the past day, March 5. Ukrainian troops repelled Russian attacks in 6 directions and killed 1,250 soldiers.
