Russian army makes gains west of Horlivka, on border of Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions - ISW
Invading Russian forces are trying to seize the Donetsk region. Recently, they have advanced near Horlivka and on the border with Zaporizhzhia region

According to geolocation footage released on February 7, the Russian Federation recently made a minor advance northeast of New York, west of Horlivka. In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that Russian forces repelled Ukrainian attacks northwest of Horlivka near Shumy and Pivdenne.
Russian troops also advanced near Heorhiivka. Some propagandists claim that the Russian Federation has gained a foothold in this settlement.
At the same time, Russian troops have recently confirmed advances near the border of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. Geolocation footage from February 6 shows that Russia has advanced north of Mykilske. In addition, propagandists claim that they have advanced east of Vuhledar in the direction of the Pivdenodonbaska mine.
