Russian army doesn't have resources to reach Odesa - Southern Defense Forces
Dmytro Pletenchuk, head of the Center for Strategic Communications of the Southern Defense Forces, had commented on Russia's capabilities concerning Odesa
He said this on Espreso TV.
"First, the Russians have downgraded their landing capabilities due to the loss of large amphibious ships, one third of which are now physically defunct, and another third are undergoing dock repairs. Therefore, with only 5 units in service, such operations are not conducted. Secondly, such operations are not conducted without a corresponding general military operation on land. In 2022, the Russians stopped in the Mykolaiv region," Pletenchuk said.
According to the head of the Center for Strategic Communications of the Southern Defense Forces, the Russian troops don't currently have the resources to reach Odesa.
"This looks like a fantastic scenario for Russia. We shouldn't forget that there are coastal artillery, missile artillery troops that will not allow the enemy to reach the coast. That is, all these options are currently impossible. The enemy is well aware of this. In addition to the Dnipro River, there is the Southern Buh River, which is also quite wide at the mouth. Therefore, the Russians do not have the physical resources to reach Odesa," Pletenchuk emphasized.
- Mikhail Khodorkovsky, a Russian oppositionist and political emigrant, one of the first billionaires in the post-Soviet space, accused Western countries of not providing enough resources to Ukraine, which is forced to confront the superior Russian army and economy.
