Russia warns France of targeting troops if sent to Ukraine
The Russian Federation issued a warning stating that if French President Emmanuel Macron deploys troops to Ukraine, they will be regarded as legitimate targets by the Russian military
This is according to Reuters.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on the matter.
"It is characteristic that Macron himself explains this rhetoric with the desire to create some kind of 'strategic uncertainty' for Russia," Zakharova stated.
Zakharova pointed out that the number of French citizens in Russia who have died in Ukraine is increasing.
"If the French appear in the conflict zone, they will inevitably become targets for the Russian armed forces. It seems to me that Paris already has proof of this," she added.
