Russia targets Ukraine’s infrastructure with drones, leaves civilians injured

Attack on Zaporizhzhia

At 7:58 p.m., the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported air defense activity. Rehina Kharchenko, secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council and acting mayor, clarified that mobile fire groups were engaged.

Later, Fedorov stated that the Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district caused a fire at an infrastructure facility. Fires were also recorded in summer houses.

At 9:46 p.m., reports emerged of a wounded 19-year-old man. He received the necessary medical assistance, and his condition is considered stable.

Fedorov also noted reports of shattered windows in apartment buildings due to debris and blast waves.

Attack on Poltava region

At 10:42 p.m., the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Kohut, wrote that the Poltava community was under attack by Russian drones, and air defense was active. According to preliminary information, there were several hits. 

At 10:57 p.m., Suspilne reported repeated explosions in Poltava. The outlet mentioned a power outage in some areas of the city.

"According to the latest information, a strike hit the industrial zone within the city limits. As of now, no reports of casualties have been received. Power supply is being gradually restored," Kohut wrote at 10:10 p.m.

As of 12:25 a.m., information emerged about damage to warehouse facilities at one of the enterprises within the Poltava community. The State Emergency Service is working to eliminate the consequences of the attack.

By morning, the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Kohut, reported that Russia launched a massive drone strike on civilian objects in industrial zones within the Poltava community. Some targets were destroyed by air defense forces.

"As a result of the strikes and falling debris at six different locations, damage was recorded to warehouse facilities, an administrative building, and a transformer at one of the enterprises. The attack caused fires covering an area of 2,500 square meters. As of 4:00 a.m., the fires at all sites were extinguished," the head of the Regional Military Administration said.

According to his information, there were no casualties.

Aftermath in Dnipropetrovsk region 

According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, Russia struck the Vasylkivska community in the Synelnykove district with drones, causing damage to an agricultural enterprise.

The Russian attacks also affected the Nikopol, Marhanets, and Pokrovsk communities, damaging infrastructure.

In the Petrykivska community of the Dnipro district, an infrastructure facility was damaged due to a drone attack.

Air defense active in Kyiv region

At 11:03 p.m., the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported air defense operations in the region. 

“A drone was spotted in the airspace. Air defense forces are working on the targets,” the statement said.
