Russia strikes Zaporizhzhia region with 170 drones in a single day
In the past 24 hours, Russian forces hit the Zaporizhzhia region with 170 drones of various types and carried out 329 strikes
The announcement came from Ivan Fedorov, head of Zaporizhzhia's regional military administration.
According to the report, the Russian military launched 329 attacks on 13 settlements in the region. In addition to this, 7 airstrikes were carried out on Zaporizhzhia, Mala Tokmachka, and Novodarivka. The drone attacks hit locations such as Bilenke, Prymorske, Lobkove, Hulyaipole, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne, and Malynivka.
Fedorov added that Russian forces also fired 133 artillery shells at Lobkove, Hulyaipole, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Levadne. Moreover, 19 MLRS (multiple launch rocket systems) strikes targeted Novoukrainka, Hulyaipole, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, and Mala Tokmachka.
In the past day, Fedorov noted that there were 99 reports of residential buildings and infrastructure being damaged.
- On October 9, Ukrainian armed forces reported that Russian troops are currently engaged in reconnaissance and search operations in the Zaporizhzhia direction, with the possibility of launching full assaults within the next week.
