Russian strikes in Ukraine kill one in Odesa, damage residential buildings in Kyiv, Sumy, Pavlohrad

Air defense operations in Kyiv region
At 9:03 p.m., the Kyiv regional military administration reported that Russian attack drones were spotted in the region's airspace. Air defense forces worked to intercept the targets.
UAV debris falls in Kyiv
At 9:44 p.m., Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko informed that air defense forces were operating in the city.
"Russian UAVs are being spotted in the sky over Kyiv. We ask all residents of the capital to stay in shelters until the alert is over," the Kyiv City Military Administration wrote at 10:45 p.m.
At 11:02 p.m., the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Tymur Tkachenko informed that a part of a UAV fell on the roof of a residential building in the Darnytskyi district of the city. There was no information about a fire or injuries.
Consequences of the attack on Odesa
At 00:21 a.m., Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov wrote that explosions were heard in the city. Ten minutes later, Suspilne reported a series of explosions in Odesa.
At 1:01 a.m., the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, said that despite the active work of air defense forces, there was damage to civilian infrastructure in Odesa, including apartment buildings.
The mayor clarified that Odesa was attacked by about 20 drones from different directions. As of 1:29 am, a residential high-rise building is on fire, and emergency workers are rescuing people from the fire. Information about the victims is being clarified.
At 1:59 a.m., Trukhanov said that one person had been confirmed dead.
The State Emergency Service reported that a fire broke out on the 6th to 9th floors of a 9-story residential building as a result of the Russian attack. The fire was extinguished by rescuers and volunteers. They managed to save five people from the fire.


Dnipropetrovsk region
The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, said that at night and in the morning Russians massively attacked Pavlohrad with missiles and drones.
"A fire station, industrial enterprises, and a five-story building were damaged. There were fires. The information is being clarified," he added.

Kirovohrad region
According to the head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, Andriy Raidriy Raikovych, a private house was damaged in a community in Novoukrainsk district as a result of a nighttime enemy drone attack.
"There were no casualties or injuries. The area is being examined by specialists," added the head of the military administration.
Sumy region
The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, said that at night the Shostka community was subjected to a massive attack by the Russian Federation. For almost four hours, Russians attacked Shostka with UAVs.
"The enemy attack destroyed civilian infrastructure. There are also damages in the residential sector. Preliminary, there were no casualties," noted Hryhorov.
Zelenskyy's reaction
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the Russian attack. He noted that more than 300 attack drones and more than 30 missiles of various types were used against Ukrainian cities.
"I am grateful to all the leaders who understand how important it is to implement our agreements promptly. Joint production of weapons, investments in the production of drones in Ukraine, in particular interceptor drones, the provision of air defense systems and missiles for them, as well as the possibility of their production here in Ukraine — all this saves lives and is necessary for Ukraine right now," the president emphasized.
