
Russia strikes critical infrastructure in Odesa with drones, kills one civilian
Russia's night attack left part of Odesa without heat and electricity, killed one person in the suburbs, and caused damage in the Kyiv region and Kharkiv

At 11:06 p.m. on March 4, Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov reported that part of the city was left without heating and electricity due to a strike on critical infrastructure.
"Russia has once again struck critical infrastructure. Part of Odesa is again without electricity, water, and heat," Trukhanov wrote.
The head of Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, added that debris from downed drones damaged private houses in the suburbs of Odesa.
"There are fires. Emergency services are extinguishing them. Information on casualties from the drone attack is being clarified. During the air raid, the Russians also attacked the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district with ballistic missiles. The missile hit an empty sanatorium, almost completely destroying the building. Fortunately, no one was injured," Kiper informed.
Kiper stated that a man was killed in the suburbs of Odesa due to the Russian drone attack — a 77-year-old resident of the village of Lymanka died from shrapnel wounds.
The State Emergency Service reported large-scale destruction, fires in private houses, and damage to civilian and critical infrastructure.
More than 60 rescuers worked to eliminate the consequences of the attack. Information on the injured is being clarified.
As of 08:50 a.m. on March 5, Odesa restored water and heating supply, Mayor Trukhanov reported.
It was later revealed that on the evening of March 4, Russia attacked a DTEK energy facility in the Odesa region.
"This is the fourth strike on the region's energy system in two weeks. As soon as the energy workers receive permission from the rescuers, they will begin emergency recovery work," DTEK added.
Attack on Kyiv region
At 10:35 p.m., the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported air defense activity in the region.
An hour later, head of the administration Mykola Kalashnik stated that in Boryspil district, windows were shattered in a multi-story residential building due to the Russian attack, and a fire broke out at an enterprise. All relevant services were involved in eliminating the consequences.
No casualties among the population were initially reported. Kalashnik emphasized that the Russian UAV attack was ongoing.
Attack on Kharkiv
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported a Russian UAV strike on a civilian enterprise in the Nemyshlyanskyi district. According to him, the attack damaged the enterprise building and shattered windows. The blast wave also damaged two trolleybuses.
There were no casualties reported initially.
A spokesman for the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, Dmytro Chubenko, reported that at 10:30 p.m., a strike hit the industrial zone of the Nemyshlyanskyi district of Kharkiv. As a result of the explosion, the facade and windows of two warehouse buildings were damaged.
"Two private cars and two trolleybuses were also damaged. According to preliminary information, the Russians used the Geran-2 UAV for the strike," he said.
Shelling of Kherson
Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin reported that the Russian army shelled Kherson at night. The city’s Korabelnyi district was hit.
As a result of the Russian attack, a 55-year-old man sustained fatal injuries.
