He noted that he had been working in the brigades holding the defence in the Kharkiv and Toretsk sectors for three days.

He wrote about this on Telegram.

"The enemy continues to focus its efforts in the Pokrovsk sector, throwing its most experienced assault units into battle, trying to break through our defences in the areas of Zhelanne, Novohrodivka, Pokrovsk. In the Kupyansk sector, fierce fighting continues in the vicinity of Pishchane, Stelmakhivka and Makiivka, but we are holding our positions. The situation in the Siversky sector is difficult. The enemy is actively using artillery, conducting assaults, but is not successful," wrote Syrskyi.

He noted that fierce fighting is taking place in the area of the canal on the outskirts of Chasiv Yar, without changing the positions of the parties.

"The enemy continues to storm Ukrainian positions in the areas of New York, Pivdenne, Zalizne. There are also battles in the Kharkiv sector, near Hlyboke and Vovchansk, but the enemy is not successful and suffers significant losses. Combat actions of varying intensity continue in all areas of the enemy's offensive. In some places, at the cost of heavy losses, the enemy has a slight success. During active hostilities, the tactical positions of troops can change several times during the day. As of today, there have been no significant changes," said the army chief.

Syrskyi also said that the National Police, the Security Service of Ukraine and the Military Law Enforcement Service are conducting counter-sabotage operations. Currently, their units are detecting and neutralizing enemy subversive groups in urban areas in the Toretsk sector.

"The main tasks of my work in the brigades are to study the situation directly in the combat areas, analyze the effectiveness of combat missions, resolve problematic issues of supplying units with ammunition, UAVs, electronic warfare equipment and assist commanders in organizing combat operations. I met with the commanders of the brigades' units and discussed ways to increase the resilience of defense," added Syrskyi.

  • On August 1, DeepState reported that the Russian occupation army had captured the village of Tymofiivka in Donetsk region and advanced near 6 settlements.
