Russia sacrifices troops in “senseless” attacks on Pokrovsk - Ukrainian officer
The difference between Ukrainian and Russian military operations is the ruthless attitude of the Russian army towards its soldiers and officers. By sending its troops into attacks, Russia is effectively sending them to their deaths
Ukrainian Armed Forces officer, Lieutenant Colonel Serhiy Tsekhotskyi, said this on Espreso TV.
"Nothing has changed in the Pokrovsk sector — the number of Russian attempts to break through our defenses remains quite high. But as they keep smashing their heads against our lines in Pokrovsk, Russian invaders have started intensifying assaults toward Novopavlivka. We see all Russian moves in advance, track their movements and buildups. In this section of the front, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are successfully fulfilling their tasks," said officer Serhiy Tsekhotskyi.
According to him, Ukrainian defenders not only repel Russian assaults but also carry out counterattacks when the situation allows.
"I would call Russian attacks senseless because they show absolutely no regard for their personnel — we’ve seen it many times. They are literally sending their soldiers to die. And that’s the difference between our military operations and those of the enemy — the Russian army treats its soldiers and officers with utter ruthlessness. The number of eliminated invaders always increases with the intensity of their assaults. Most often, small Russian groups of 2–4 people attack without equipment, moving on motorcycles or mopeds," noted the Ukrainian Armed Forces officer.
Tsekhotskyi added that Russian personnel show signs of poor training, which indicates that Russian soldiers are being pulled from training centers at an accelerated pace to quickly replenish units for assault operations.
- Ukraine’s General Staff reported that on Sunday, June 15, 175 combat clashes took place along the Russian-Ukrainian front. Ukraine's Defense Forces repelled 46 Russian attacks in the Pokrovsk sector and 32 in the Novopavlivka sector.
