SBU drones attack oil depot in Belgorod region, power substation in Lipetsk region - media
On the night of May 13, drones hit an oil depot and a power substation in Russia's Belgorod and Lipetsk regions. Ukraine's Security Service was behind the attack

It is noted that that night, SBU drones were actively operating in the Lipetsk and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation.
The attacks resulted in fires at the Oskolneftpostachannya oil depot near the town of Stary Oskol in the Belgorod region, as well as at the 500 kV Eletskaya substation in the Lipetsk region.
According to media sources, the affected power substation supplies traction substations of the Russian railroad, the Stanovaya oil pumping station, and ensures transit between the Lipetsk, Oryol, and Bryansk power grids.
"Russian industry working for the war against Ukraine will remain a legitimate target for the SBU. Measures to undermine the enemy's military potential will continue," the source emphasized.
The attack was first reported by the governors of Russian regions and TASS.
For example, according to the head of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov, a UAV was shot down near the Stanovlyansky district, causing a fire at a power substation.
It is also reported that 8 drones were shot down over the Kursk region.
And the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that Russian air defense was also operating over the region at night and allegedly shot down several air targets on the approach to Belgorod.
In addition, he said, in the village of Cheremoshne, a shell hit a residential building, a bathhouse and a garage, completely destroying the house. Three civilians who were at home at the time miraculously escaped with light scratches and abrasions.
Later, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that overnight, air defense allegedly shot down 12 Vilkha MLRS missiles and 12 UAVs over the territory of Belgorod region, 8 drones over Kursk region, 4 Storm Shadow air-to-air guided missiles and 7 UAVs over the territory of Crimea, and 4 more over Lipetsk region.
- On May 12, an explosion was reported in the Russian city of Belgorod, where an apartment building collapsed. As of the morning of May 13, 15 people were reported dead.
