Russia reports night attacks on two regions: alleged hits in Belgorod region

On the morning of March 14, the Russian Ministry of Defense accused Ukraine of allegedly attacking two regions with 14 drones. Later, Belgorod reported a second attack

The Russian Defense Ministry reported the information.

It noted that Russian air defense forces allegedly intercepted and destroyed 11 drones in the Belgorod region and another 3 in the Kursk region.

Meanwhile, the governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, said at about 03:40 a.m. that air defense was operating in the region.

Simultaneously, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that in the village of Prokhorovka, a private house's roof purportedly caught fire following an explosion, resulting in shattered windows and a damaged facade. No injuries were reported among the residents.

Another drone allegedly detonated next to the same house, and the blast wave damaged a neighboring private house, damaging the facade and fence.

Subsequently, Gladkov claimed an attack on the city of Belgorod itself, leading to the ignition of dry grass. Additionally, windows in a private residence were shattered.

Morning attack on the Belgorod region

"Our air defense system was activated over Belgorod and Belgorod district - 8 air targets were shot down on the approach to the city. Operational services are clarifying information about the consequences on the ground," Governor Gladkov said in a statement.

According to him, the driver of a passenger car was allegedly killed in the attack. Two women and a man were also injured. 

The town of Graivoron also allegedly came under fire. According to preliminary data from Russia, there is allegedly one casualty. A multi-storey building and a private house were also damaged.
