This was reported by Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate
Russia is forming detachments of personnel from the FSB border service units to strengthen the border with Ukraine.
The military intelligence of Ukraine intercepted a telephone conversation between two Russian soldiers serving in occupied Abkhazia. They were discussing Russia's intentions to deploy formed units at the border areas in Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod regions.
"In the dialogue between the personnel officer of the Sukhumi border detachment, captain Yusibov, and warrant officer Zimskov, who serves at the border outpost in Ochamchire, they discussed the formation of lists for sending to the Russian-Ukrainian border "permanently", the report said.
- On September 12, ISW reported that Russian border guards lacked the capacity and equipment to counter possible cross-border raids into the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as to combat drone attacks.
