Russia pushing hard before rain season: Ukrainian officer on Pokrovsk front
Serhii Tsekhotskyi, an officer with Ukraine's 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, reports that Russian forces are trying to outflank Pokrovsk
He shared this information live on Espreso TV.
"The Pokrovsk front is one of the hottest right now, with over 25 Russian assault attempts in a single day. The enemy is trying to make gains before the autumn rains set in, aiming to seize more territory. Our job is to hold them off, exhaust them — and we’re doing just that," Tsekhotskyi emphasized.
According to the officer, Russian troops are rushing, throwing all available reserves into the fight. Changing weather conditions are complicating both operations and logistics.
"The Russians failed to take Pokrovsk head-on and met heavy resistance. Now, they’ve shifted to a strategy of bypassing the city from the south and north. We need to stay sharp because they’re constantly conducting reconnaissance by combat. We’re focusing on secrecy and laying mines along possible routes," Tsekhotskyi added.
Oleksandr Borodin, the press officer of the 3rd Brigade, stated that in just one section of the Kharkiv front, Russia launches hundreds of drones daily.
Meanwhile, Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, head of the press office of the Kherson regional military administration, reported that Russian forces are scattering "petal" mines and remotely mining the coastal zones around Kherson and Stanislav.
