European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that Russia is preparing for a future confrontation with European democracies.
She emphasized during her speech at the Royal Danish Military Academy in Copenhagen, as reported by Reuters, that while the United States shifts its focus to the Indo-Pacific region, Russia is gearing up for conflict with Europe.
"(Russia) has massively expanded its military-industrial production capacity... This investment fuels its war of aggression in Ukraine while preparing it for future confrontation with European democracies," the President of the European Commission highlighted.
- On February 12, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte commented on the likelihood of a new Russian attack on Europe, noting that Russia will lose if it attacks the Alliance.
