Dmytro Lykhoviy, spokesman for the Tavria operational group of troops, said this on the Espreso TV channel.

"Every day Russia loses a lot of weapons and military equipment. Yesterday, it lost 79 people in our entire operational area - killed, wounded and two prisoners, 22 pieces of weapons and military equipment. Among them, if we talk about the specifics of the area in the Kherson region, on the left bank of the Dnipro River, the enemy lost five boats. Interestingly, one of the destructions inflicted by our artillery and attack drones was on a boat storage facility. This means that the invaders are no longer losing boats individually, but in whole warehouses," he said.

Over the previous three days, 30 Russian enemy assaults on Ukrainian positions took place in the Prydniprovskyi sector, Likhoviy said.

"Russians are increasingly active not only at one of the bridgeheads north of Krynky, but also at various locations on the left bank of the Dnipro River where our military are stationed. There are ongoing clashes there. The enemy is not successful. The defensive operation continues and our positions are being held there. In mid-July, our units left the village of Krynky, which was the largest foothold on the left bank of the Dnipro, and moved to other designated positions, a little north and a little west of Krynky. But this is also the left bank of the Dnipro. Now the intensity of the enemy's assault operations in the Tavria operational area is increasing precisely because of the ‘increase’ in Russian activity on the left bank of the Dnipro, specifically in the Prydniprovskyi direction. It is there that Russian troops put the most pressure on our positions and conduct the most assaults," he added.

  • On September 9, the Atesh guerrilla movement reported that Russia was engaging cadets in the war against Ukraine due to a shortage of personnel in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia.
