Russia loses 8 tanks, 33 artillery systems and 920 servicemen in a day in Ukraine — General Staff

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the information.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to March 11, 2024, amounted to:

Frontline update

According to the General Staff, near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas and increase the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops did not conduct offensive operations.

In the Lyman direction, Ukraine's soldiers repulsed 8 attacks near the settlements of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, Terny, Yampolivka, Spirne and Rozdolivka, Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces rebuffed 5 attacks near Klishchiivka, Andriivka and east of Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukraine's defenders repelled 17 Russian attacks near 5 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian defense forces are holding back Russian troops near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region, where they tried to break through the Ukrainian defense 25 times.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian forces rebuffed 3 attacks south of Novodarivka and northwest of Verbove, Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces hold their positions. Over the past day, Russian troops carried out 4 unsuccessful assault operations.

Russian troops shell over 150 Ukrainian settlements, the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit 12 Russian personnel concentrations

In total, Russia launched 4 missile strikes, 88 air strikes, and 96 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in injuries and deaths among the civilian population. Multi-storey and private houses, as well as other civilian infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged.

Over the past day, 23 Ukrainian settlements were hit by Russian air strikes.

At night, Russian occupying forces attacked Ukraine with 25 Shahed UAVs. The Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 15 attack UAVs.

Over 150 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under Russian artillery fire.

Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation struck 10 concentrations of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment and 1 anti-aircraft missile system.

Ukrainian missile troops struck 2 concentrations of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment, 1 ammunition depot, 2 electronic warfare stations and 2 air defense systems.

• The Russian army launched at least 175 unmanned aerial vehicles over the territory of Ukraine over 10 days in March. Ukrainian air defense destroyed 151 Shaheds.
