Russia loses 5 tanks, 59 artillery systems, over 1,100 soldiers in one day in Ukraine

Russia's total combat losses from February 24, 2022, to August 4, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 582,910 (+1,150),
- tanks - 8,411 (+5),
- armored fighting vehicles - 16,255 (+17),
- artillery systems - 16,276 (+59),
- MLRS - 1,138 (+3),
- air defense systems - 911 (+3),
- aircraft - 363 (+0),
- helicopters - 326 (+0),
- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 13,103 (+41),
- cruise missiles - 2,412 (+2),
- ships/boats - 28 (+0),
- submarines - 1 (+0),
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 22,006 (+80),
- special equipment - 2,734 (+11) units.

The day before, British intelligence reported that the decrease in the average daily loss of Russian troops at the front in Ukraine might indicate that Russian forces are reinforcing their positions in the Kharkiv direction.
