Russia loses 13 armored vehicles, 31 artillery systems, 810 soldiers in one day – General Staff

During the past day, 66 combat clashes took place at the front between the Russian invading forces and Ukrainian defenders. In total, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 52 attacks by the Russian troops and eliminated 810 Russian soldiers

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff shared their regular report, as below.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to February 4, 2024, amounted to:

  • personnel – about 388,750 (+810)
  • tanks – 6,343 (+2) 
  • armored personnel vehicles – 11,818 (+13) 
  • artillery systems – 9,331 (+31) 
  • MLRS – 979 
  • air defense systems – 663 
  • aircraft – 332
  • helicopters – 324 
  • UAVs operational-tactical level – 7,173 (+12)
  • cruise missiles – 1,848 (+1)
  • warships/boats – 24 
  • submarines – 1 
  • vehicles and tank trucks – 12,393 (+41) 
  • special equipment – 1,479 (+6)

Frontline situation: Ukrainian forces repel most attacks in the Avdiivka direction

According to Ukraine's General Staff, near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, 5 Russian attacks were repelled near Synkivka and Ivanivka, Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 8 attacks near Serebryanka Forestry, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Terny, Yampolivka, Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 3 attacks near Bohdanivka and Klishchiivka, Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders are holding back Russian troops, who keep trying to surround Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the occupying army. The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 27 attacks near Avdiivka and Novokalynove, and another 3 attacks near Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region over the past day.

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian troops are holding back Russian forces near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where they repelled 7 attacks.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repulsed 3 attacks south of Zolota Nyva in the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled one Russian attack near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, Ukraine's Defense Forces keep holding their positions and repelling the occupying forces' attacks. Despite significant losses, the Russian army keeps attempting to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions. Over the past day, Russia carried out 5 unsuccessful assault operations.

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers are actively inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying forces, depleting Russian troops along the entire front line.

Russian troops shell over 110 Ukrainian settlements with artillery

In total, Russia launched 2 missile strikes, 65 air attacks, and 53 MLRS attacks at Ukrainian troops' positions and civilian areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks resulted in civilian casualties, and residential buildings along with other civilian infrastructure suffered destruction and damage.

Russian airstrikes targeted 18 settlements across Ukraine.

Over 110 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions experienced artillery fire.

Ukrainian forces destroy over 10 Russian UAVs and 1 missile

In the past day, Ukraine’s Air Force targeted 12 Russian personnel gathering points. Ukraine's air defense successfully neutralized 1 Kh-59 guided air missile, 10 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs, and 3 reconnaissance UAVs.

Ukrainian missile force units attacked 1 concentration of Russian personnel and 1 artillery position.

  • On February 3, there were 45 combat clashes along the front line. The Ukrainian Armed Forces maintained their defense on the left bank of the Kherson region, successfully repelling 4 assault attempts.
