On September 16, the Russian occupying army lost over 1,000 troops, 5 tanks, and 36 artillery systems in its war against Ukraine

Russia's total combat losses from February 24, 2022, to September 17, 2025, are approximately:

  • personnel – about 1,097,450 (+1,020),
  • tanks – 11,189 (+5),
  • armored fighting vehicles – 23,277 (+3),
  • artillery systems – 32,846 (+36),
  • MLRS – 1,490 (+0),
  • air defense systems – 1,217 (+0),

  • tactical-level UAVs – 60,079 (+360),
  • cruise missiles – 3,718 (+0),
  • ships/boats – 28 (+0),

The data is being clarified.

  • As a result of coordinated actions by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and National Guard, Russian troops were cleared from the village of Pankivka and surrounding areas in Donetsk region.
