Russian forces destroy Kherson Regional Administration building
On Thursday, June 5, the Russian army shelled downtown Kherson with aviation, striking the building of the Kherson Regional State Administration
The Kherson City Military Administration reported the information.
Around 6 a.m., Russian forces struck the city center with aircraft. One person—a 74-year-old man—was injured and is currently hospitalized with what doctors believe to be a blast-related trauma.
In addition to the administration building, the airstrike also damaged part of the Kherson City Council offices.
At 3:54 p.m., regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin confirmed that the Russians had completely destroyed the Regional State Administration building. Authorities are still working to confirm whether there are additional casualties.
“Kherson Regional State Administration, the second Russian strike of the day. Why? What’s the logic here? There is none,” wrote Andriy Yermak, head of the President’s Office, reacting to the attack.
- On the evening of Wednesday, June 4, Russian occupying forces launched drone attacks on Ukraine, causing casualties.
