Russia kills 5 Donetsk region residents in 24 hours
The Russian army carried out 2,862 strikes in the Donetsk region on July 27, killing five residents and wounding 15 others, including a child
The National Police of Ukraine reports.
Thirteen settlements were targeted: the cities of Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Lyman, Myrnohrad, Novohrodivka, Toretsk, and the villages of Halytsynivka, Dibrova, Zorya, Ivanivka, Ivanopillia, Katerynivka, and Ridkodub.
The police reported that 88 civilian structures were damaged, including 52 residential buildings, a medical facility, a church, two educational institutions, a boarding house, an office building, critical infrastructure, garages, vehicles, a power grid, a gas pipeline, and a wheat field.
In Ivanivka, three civilians were killed by Russian shelling. In Kostyantynivka, an aerial guided bomb killed one person and wounded two others, destroying two houses, an office building, critical infrastructure, cars, and the power grid.
Artillery shelling in Toretsk killed one person and injured another. In Lyman, three aerial guided bombs and Uragan multiple rocket launcher attacks injured two residents and damaged seven private houses, a gas pipeline, and cars.
An air-dropped bomb hit Myrnohrad, injuring a child born in 2013 and destroying a medical facility and 27 private houses. Three three aerial guided bombs in Kurakhove injured four people and damaged two apartment buildings, educational institutions, and cars.
In Novohrodivka, Smerch multiple rocket launchers injured a civilian and destroyed three houses, garages, and a bus. Additional attacks wounded two civilians in Katerynivka and one each in Ridkodub and Zorya.
The police and the Security Service of Ukraine have opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

On the morning of Sunday, July 27, Russian forces attacked the Kherson region. In the village of Komyshany, five people were injured, including three children.
