Russia is preparing provocation against Ukraine over alleged Western arms trafficking in Africa

Russian intelligence services are preparing another information special operation against Ukraine. It will be associated with the alleged illegal trafficking of Western weapons in Africa

The Main Directorate of Intelligence  reports.

It is noted that the Kremlin will attempt to blame Ukrainian special forces for allegedly using foreign-origin weapons during military operations in the Republic of Sudan.

"In order to do this, Russian propagandists plan to publish commissioned articles and fabricated images of 'trophy' weapons of American origin in the media, including Libyan outlets. These weapons will be falsely claimed to have been previously captured by mercenaries from the so-called Wagner PMC during the war in Ukraine," the statement said.

Yes, the purpose of this is to discredit Ukraine and its partners, as well as to accuse Western allies of uncontrolled arms trafficking with Ukraine's involvement.

Additionally, Russia will emphasize that elite Ukrainian special units are involved in combat operations in Africa at a time when Russia is at war in Ukraine.

"At the same time, due to religious holidays observed in the Muslim world, including in parts of Africa, Russian intelligence services were forced to fabricate necessary photographic materials on the territory of Belarus," added intelligence.
