Russia is closing in on its inevitable end – Ukrainian diplomat Ohryzko
Russia has hit the final stretch of its development
This view was shared by Volodymyr Ohryzko, diplomat, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (2007–2009), and head of the Center for Russian Studies, during a broadcast on Espreso TV.
"Russia has reached the end of its development, no matter what. It won’t stay together. We just don’t know what the final trigger will be — maybe a student killed in Makhachkala, maybe a fire in Ulan-Ude. But the country is falling apart from all sides. It doesn’t matter whether America or Trump wants it or not. No one wanted the Soviet Union to collapse either — but it did, from the inside. The same thing is happening now in Russia," he said.
Volodymyr Ohryzko believes that if Russia makes it to 2030, it will be a major historical achievement.
"Sure, they can puff up their cheeks, talk about development plans until 2050, God, if it makes it to 2030, that alone would be a huge historical success. Most likely, it won’t. And I think Ukraine, along with our European partners and, of course, partly the Americans, should be doing everything possible to make sure this global destabilizing force finally disappears," the diplomat added.
