Andrii Demchenko, spokesman for Ukraine's State Border Guard Service, said during the telethon.
"The activity of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups can be observed in the Sumy region. It is not recorded in the Chernihiv region, but the Sumy area is the area where the enemy is constantly trying to conduct sabotage activities," said the spokesman.
Demchenko emphasized that Russian subversive reconnaissance groups do not enter the region every day, but they do so actively. Their main goal is to find the locations of Ukrainian units and learn how the defense is built in order to strike them with powerful weapons.
Ukraine takes all necessary steps to detect hostile groups in advance.
