Russia intensifies assault operations near Synkivka, Kharkiv region
Deputy of the Kharkiv Regional Council Oleksandr Skoryk noted that the Russian army is shelling Synkivka, Tabaivka and Krokhmalne with glide bombs.
He said this in an interview with Espreso TV channel.
"The enemy is dropping an incredible number of glide bombs at Synkivka, Tabaivka and Krokhmalne. These bombs are effective at a distance of up to 25 km. Therefore, the Russians use aircraft to drop them from their territory. The enemy is constantly shelling not only the front line where they have launched an offensive. In the area of Synkivka, the enemy is conducting assault operations. They have not been successful so far, but have intensified. There are reports of an increase in the number of Russian troops in this area," Skoryk said.
According to the deputy of the Kharkiv regional council, the borderline suffers from artillery and mortar attacks every day.
"Also, S-300 missiles are fired at the territory of the region almost every night. Kupyansk is under constant shelling, it is no longer possible to live there. The city is suffering from destruction, it is almost destroyed," Skoryk said.
- On 19 February, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived at the frontline to visit the defenders in the Kupyansk sector, where he spoke to the military and presented them with awards.
- Over the past day, 81 combat engagements took place at the frontline. Russian forces are attacking in 8 key areas, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine neutralised another 1,230 Russian servicemen.
