Ukrainian defense forces eliminate over 1,200 Russian soldiers, 40 artillery systems and 2 aircraft in one day

This is stated in the morning report of the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff.

The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from February 24, 22 to February 20, 24 are as follows:

Situation at the frontline: Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled a series of Russia's attacks in 8 directions

Thus, according to the General Staff, the operational situation has not changed in the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupyansk direction, the Russian troops made 4 unsuccessful offensive attempts in the area of Synkivka, Kharkiv region. They carried out airstrikes on three settlements in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian soldiers, with the support of aviation, attacked Ukrainian units 6 times near Ternivka, Donetsk region, and Bilohorivka, Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 14 Russia's attacks in the areas of 4 localities in the Donetsk region. New York, Donetsk region, came under air strike.

In the Avdiivka direction, in the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group, Ukraine's defenders rebuffed 9 hostile attacks near Lastochkyne, Sieverne, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the Russian enemy near Heorhiivka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where they repelled 21 attacks.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Russian army tried to make an offensive once near the settlement of Staromayorske in the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Defense Forces repulsed 11 Russia's attacks near Malynivka and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold their positions and repel the attacks of the occupation forces. Despite significant losses, Russia's army keeps trying to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions. Thus, over the past day, they made 5 unsuccessful assaults.

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers are actively inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, depleting the Russian enemy along the entire front line.

Russia fires at Ukraine with missiles and UAVs, the Armed Forces hit a Russian command center and ammunition depots

In total, the Russian forces launched 7 missile and 87 air strikes, fired 137 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in injuries and deaths among the civilian population. Multi-storey and private houses, as well as other civilian infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged.

1 locality in Chernihiv region, 1 in Sumy region, 7 in Kharkiv region, 1 in Zaporizhzhia region were hit by air strikes.

More than 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

Over the past day, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck 10 areas of Russian personnel concentration, 1 control center and 10 Russia's anti-aircraft missile systems. Ukrainian air defense forces also destroyed 23 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs.

Missile troops struck at 1 control center, 4 ammunition depots and 5 Russian artillery units.

• On the evening of February 19, Russia launched Shahed drones to the east and south of Ukraine. As a result of the attack in the Kremenchuk district, explosions were heard - an industrial facility was hit and a fire broke out. Later, Russia fired a missile at Dnipropetrovsk.
