Russia holds 3:1 artillery ammo advantage on frontline – Ukraine's Defense Ministry
Ukraine’s First Deputy Defense Minister, Ivan Havryliuk, reported that the ratio of artillery ammunition between Ukraine's Defense Forces and Russia's army is currently 1:3
He made this statement during a live broadcast.
"Today, the ammo ratio on the battlefield has improved compared to winter 2024, when it was 1:8. Now it’s 1:3, but Russia still holds the edge," Havryliuk said.
He pointed out that Russia’s human resources and mobilization capabilities far exceed those of Ukraine.
At the same time, Havryliuk emphasized that Ukraine’s Defense Ministry is working on various innovative solutions and military technologies to narrow Russia’s advantage and tip the balance on the battlefield.
Specifically, Havryliuk explained that Ukraine has streamlined the process of identifying issues on the battlefield, making swift decisions to address them, and implementing those solutions with new technologies or weapon systems.
“While the process isn’t flawless yet, we’re making strong progress to solve these challenges,” he added.
He stressed that the Ministry understands the importance of speed in addressing problems and introducing innovative solutions as the key to victory in this war.
Havryliuk also noted that the Ukrainian government is actively collaborating with international partners to establish joint ventures, enabling Ukraine to produce a full range of military equipment and weapons domestically.
