Russia has partial success near Lukiantsi village in Kharkiv region; Ukraine halts Russia’s advance
The Russian forces continue their offensive in Kharkiv region, having had partial success near the village of Lukiantsi. Ukrainian defence forces have stopped Russian advance
Ukraine's General Staff reported the information.
"As of 2 p.m. on 13.05.2024 (Russia - ed.) has carried out 11 attacks, 2 combat clshes are currently underway. The enemy does not stop trying to force the units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces from their positions. It had a partial success near Lukiantsi. The enemy's advance has been stopped," the statement said.
The Ukrainian Defence Forces are carrying out counterattacks.
The Russian forces carried out 8 air strikes near the settlements of Udy, Vovchansk, Lyptsi, Hrafske and Vesele in the Kharkiv region.
"To reinforce the troops, the reserves created in advance have been deployed to the Kharkiv direction. Depending on the situation, the grouping will continue to be reinforced. The troops are provided with the necessary amount of munitions," the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said.
Since the beginning of the day, Russia's losses in the Kharkiv direction amounted to 97 servicemen and 8 pieces of weapons and military equipment.
- On May 13, Serhiy Zgurets, Defense Express CEO and military expert, noted that Russia was trying to stretch the front line and pull Ukraine's reserves from Donbas to Kharkiv region.
