Russia claims to have shot down 26 drones over five regions, occupied Crimea

The Russian Defense Ministry reported the information.

According to their statement, the Air Defense Forces destroyed 26 drones, allegedly Ukrainian, during the night.

Specifically, 9 were over the Voronezh region, 8 over Belgorod, 4 over the Kursk region, 2 over the Lipetsk region and the temporarily occupied Crimea, and one drone over the Moscow region.

Additionally, by the morning, it became known that temporary restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures were imposed at the Strigino airport in Nizhny Novgorod and the Tunoshna airport in Yaroslavl. Rosaviatsiya stated that these measures were introduced to ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights.

  • That same night, the invading Russian army launched strike drones against Ukraine. Explosions were heard in the Zaporizhzhia region and Odesa, with casualties reported. Russian occupiers also launched ballistic missiles from the south.
