Russia attempts breakthrough at Selydove, Ukrainian forces repel attacks - National Guard

Ukraine's National Guard reported the information.

According to the fighters, Russian infantry groups are trying to infiltrate into Selydove from the eastern outskirts, but the Ukrainian defenders are holding the line, driving them out, preventing them from gaining a foothold and establishing observation or firing positions.

Yesterday, Russian troops attacked Selydove 19 times, using a significant number of infantry. The Guardsmen eliminated 118 Russian soldiers while repelling these attacks (52 of them were irreversible losses, the rest were sanitary losses).

Russia is also actively using air power in Selydove. The outskirts of the city are regularly shelled by artillery.

• On October 23, it became known that the Russian army had seized the village of Novosadove in the Donetsk region over the past day. This is the second occupation of the village since 2022.
