At 11:02 p.m., the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, reported a massive drone attack.
As a result of the strike, the city of Chornomorsk was completely de-energized due to damage to the energy infrastructure. Relevant services are working at the scene and staging areas are being deployed.
In the morning, the State Emergency Service reported that a fire broke out in the city as a result of the Russian attack, damaging critical infrastructure, a residential building, a store, and cars.
According to the Regional Military Administration, as of the morning, gas, water and heat supply in Chornomorsk is normal. Electricity supply has also been restored. Work to eliminate the consequences of the Russian attacks continues.
A 53-year-old man was also wounded in the first attack on Chornomorsk. He was hospitalized in moderate condition in a medical facility.
In addition, a private residential building was partially destroyed and a car damaged as a result of a drone attack in Odesa. In the suburbs of Odesa, the roof, windows, and doors of a private enterprise were damaged.
A 61-year-old woman was injured in Odesa. She received facial injuries from glass shards as a result of the blast wave and is currently hospitalized.
Critical infrastructure in Sumy is hit
At 10:50 p.m., the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported a massive UAV attack on critical infrastructure in Sumy.
“The air defense units of the Security and Defense Forces and volunteer formations are taking all measures to counter the enemy attack,” the statement added.
Sumy's acting mayor Artem Kobzar confirmed the lack of electricity in the city.
Hits in Chernihiv
At 3:38 a.m., the head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, reported that a multi-story building had been hit in the city. A car is also on fire.
At 3:59 p.m., Bryzhynskyi clarified that a nine-story building was damaged. The fire, which started in the parking lot, was localized.
“There are currently no injuries among the people. All rescue services are working in the city. An emergency response center is being set up,” he added.
Damage in Zaporizhzhia
On the morning of March 15, it also became known that an infrastructure facility in one of the settlements of Zaporizhzhia region was damaged as a result of the Russian attack.
State Emergency Service and police units were sent to the scene.
Attack on Ukraine's energy system
The DTEK energy company emphasized that Russia massively attacked its energy facilities.
“At night, Russia once again attacked the energy sector. This time in the Dnipro and Odesa regions. Some residents of Dnipro and Odesa regions were left without electricity. The damage is significant. Power engineers are already working on the ground. We are doing everything possible to restore power to homes as soon as possible,” the power engineers reported.
Air defense systems triggered in Kyiv region
At 11:12 p.m., the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that a UAV was spotted in the airspace. Air defense was activated.
In the morning, it became known that there were targets downed in the region. There were no hits to critical infrastructure, and no casualties were reported.
At the same time, 7 private houses were damaged in the Bila Tserkva district as a result of the Russian attack. Windows were smashed in the buildings.
Attack on Kharkiv region
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the Russians attacked rescuers twice in the Kharkiv region while extinguishing a fire.
It is reported that on the night of March 15, the occupiers attacked a lyceum in Bohodukhiv with UAVs. The roof of the building caught fire over an area of 500 square meters, 18 houses and 5 school buses were damaged.
An hour later, the Russian aggressor struck again at the rescuers, damaging a fire truck. Four civilians were injured. They had an acute stress reaction.
An hour later, a fire truck and a school bus caught fire due to the second strike.
“Fortunately, the rescuers were not injured. The fire was extinguished. The work involved 42 rescuers, 11 units of State Emergency Service equipment, including sappers,” the State Emergency Service said.
