
Russian drone strike on Ukraine's Odesa kills married couple, injures children

At 00:45 a.m., Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, informed that Russians had attacked Odesa and the region with attack drones.
"There is damage to civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings and cars. Information about the victims is being clarified. The liquidation of the consequences of the strike is underway," the statement said.
At 3:18 a.m., Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov wrote that rescuers had found the bodies of a couple who had died as a result of a drone strike on their apartment.
At 3:40 a.m., the State Emergency Service reported on the consequences of the Russian attack. Rescuers said that the Russians had hit a 21-story residential building. The hit caused fires on the 7th, 8th and 9th floors. People were trapped in their apartments.
"Five people were rescued, including a small child. Preliminary information on 2 dead and at least 4 injured is available," the statement said.
According to the regional military administration, as of the morning, the number of victims of the night drone strike on Odesa increased to 14 people, three of them were children.
Six wounded remain in hospital, three of them, including one child, are in serious condition. Others continue to be treated on an outpatient basis.
