Russia attacks Kursk region with guided bombs, tense situation in Kurakhove sector - Ukraine's General Staff

The border settlements of the Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions continue to suffer from artillery shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation. The areas of Semenivka, Starykove, and Vidrodzhenivske were affected. Also, the aggressor launched air strikes on the areas of Pavlivka, Okhtyrka, Yampil, and Kysla Dubyna, using 8 guided bombs.

Russians are also bombing the Kursk region. According to available information, 15 strikes were carried out with sixteen guided aerial bombs.

Frontline situation 

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian troops attacked the defensive lines of Ukrainian units near Hatyshche once without success.

In the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled two hostile attacks near Petropavlivka and Stelmakhivka, and three more combat engagements are ongoing near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, and Lozova.

In the Lyman sector, the invading army launched 14 attacks near Kopanky, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Yampolivka, Torske, and Bilohorivka. Ten combat engagements are over by now, and four more are ongoing. The enemy used attack aircraft in the areas of Novoiehorivka.

The Russian army conducted offensive actions in the Siversk sector near Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, and Vyimka. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are steadily holding back the enemy. So far, 3 attacks have been repelled.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the invading Russian forces made 3 assaults on the Ukrainian positions near Chasiv Yar and Andriivka. The battle is over, 2 more are ongoing. Bondarne and Chasiv Yar were attacked by air strikes with guided bombs and unguided missiles.

In the Toretsk sector, 2 hostile attacks took place in the vicinity of Dachne with the support of aviation. The aggressor is conducting air strikes on Toretsk, Kostiantynivka, Shcherbynivka, and Petrivka, having already used 9 air bombs.

In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, the Russians have made 11 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Zelene Pole, Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Myroliubivka, Novotroyitske, and Hrodivka. The Defense Forces are holding back the onslaught and repelled 9 enemy attacks, 2 engagements are still ongoing. The Russian losses are being clarified.

The situation is the most intense in the Kurakhove sector, where Russian forces conducted 21 attacks near Ukrainske, Zhelanne Persha, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, and Katerynivka. There are four combat engagements in the areas of Kostiantynivka and Zhelanne Persha.

In the Vremivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled four Russian assaults near Katerynivka, Vuhledar, and Zolota Niva. Three more firefights are ongoing in three locations near Vuhledar.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attack, and another one is ongoing. Mykolaivka, Odradokamianka, and Kozatske were attacked with unguided aerial missiles.

No enemy attacks have been registered in the Orikhiv and Huliaipole sectors so far.
