At least 7 killed, dozens wounded as Russia attacks Dnipro with missiles, drones

On the evening of July 4, the head of the Dnipro Regional Military Administration informed that a 58-year-old woman who had been injured in a Russian strike died in hospital.
Earlier in the morning, he said that a 60-year-old woman who was injured during the attack on the city on July 3 had died.
According to the updated data published at 6:32 p.m. by the head of the Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, 58 people were injured in yesterday's attack on Dnipro.
"There are still 21 wounded in the hospital. Three are in serious condition," the official wrote.
July 4 was declared a day of mourning in Dnipro.
Aftermath of combined air raid on Dnipro: chronology of events
Serhiy Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reported the first aftermath of the Russian attack on the city at 11 o'clock.
"The enemy continues its insidious attacks. They launched missiles and attack UAVs at Dnipro," Lysak wrote.
He reported that three people died from the shelling. Eighteen others were injured, including a 14-year-old girl.
He added that there were several fires and extensive destruction in the city.
Mykola Lukashuk, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional council, shared images showing the damage to one of the city's shopping centers.
"Cars and windows were shattered, and a gas station was hit. All consequences are currently being investigated," the message says.
As of 12:05 p.m., Serhiy Lysak reported 4 dead and 27 injured, 11 of whom were hospitalized. Two are in serious condition.
As of 2:40 p.m., Lysak reported that a third of the wounded are in hospitals, with two in serious condition. Fires at the missile strike sites, including a medical facility, have been extinguished. Services are working to address the aftermath of the attack.
An inspection is ongoing to document the damage to civilian infrastructure. Most of the damage involves windows, doors, and building facades.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy's reaction
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the Russian attack on Dnipro and said that the death toll had risen to five.
"This Russian terror can only be stopped by two things: modern air defense systems and long-range weapons. The world can protect lives, and this requires the determination of leaders. The determination that can and must make protection from terror the norm again," he wrote.
