
Russia attacked Ukraine with Shahed drones: one person killed in Kharkiv region, injuries in Chernihiv and Odesa

Hit in Chernihiv
Rescuers published information about the aftermath as of 7 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3.
According to the State Emergency Service, several fires broke out in the city due to falling drone debris. People were injured, and residential, industrial buildings, and cars were damaged.
Specifically, in one residential area, a house, an outbuilding, a garage, and three cars burned down. One person was injured. Four more cars and around eight buildings were damaged. The fire was put out.
Another fire broke out near a residential building: one car burned down, three people were injured by debris, five cars, a shop, and windows in a multi-storey building were damaged.
A fire also broke out at a local business site.
Psychologists from the State Emergency Service assisted 20 people at the scene, including eight children.
Chronology of the strike on Chernihiv
At 02:37, the head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, reported that a Shahed drone had hit the private sector of the city. Casualties were confirmed.
"Shahed strikes were recorded on several city streets. Private houses caught fire at the impact sites. Information on casualties is being updated," Bryzhynskyi said 10 minutes later.
At 03:21, it was confirmed that a private house in Chernihiv had burned down following a Shahed strike. A five-story building and several other private houses were also damaged. Later, Bryzhynskyi clarified that one person was seriously injured and taken to hospital, and another was moderately injured.
At 04:01, the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, commented on the Russian attack. According to preliminary reports, the city was targeted with Geran-2 drones.
At that point, three people were confirmed injured: a woman and two men with serious injuries were hospitalized.
Damage was reported to high-rise buildings, a school, several shops, a bus stop, and houses in the private sector.
"The enemy also hit an industrial site. Fire crews are currently working to contain the fire," Chaus added.
At the same time, the head of the city military administration reported four people injured.
Explosions in Odesa: injuries, damage to homes and vehicles
According to the Odesa Regional Military Administration, as of 08:24, the number of injured in Odesa had risen to five.
"Five people were injured. One of them is in hospital in moderately serious condition. The others were treated on the spot," the administration said.
According to updated data from the State Emergency Service, as of 07:30 on Tuesday, June 3, four people had been injured in the Odesa drone strike.
"Fires broke out in several places. The largest was in food storage warehouses. Also, two cars burned down in the private sector, and garages and houses were damaged. According to preliminary data, four people were injured," the report stated.
At 03:33, Suspilne reported explosions in Odesa. Minutes later, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, confirmed that drones were attacking the city and region.
Odesa mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov reported in the morning that residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged in the attack, and cars were burned.
As of 7 a.m. on June 3, there were no reported deaths. An emergency headquarters has started work at the damaged sites. Consultations will soon begin on how to apply for financial assistance from the city budget and compensation on Diia platform.
One person killed in Balakliya, Kharkiv region, in massive drone strike
This was reported by Vitaliy Karabanov, head of the Balakliya City Military Administration.
"As a result of another drone strike, several hits were recorded in Balakliya. Some hit a civilian enterprise and open areas. A fire also broke out in dry vegetation. Sadly, one person was killed and one injured at the enterprise," he wrote.
Emergency services started working at the strike sites.
Also overnight, drones hit a postal terminal near Kharkiv. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of the Kharkiv region.
A large fire broke out. Two warehouse buildings and several containers burned, covering a total of 3,000 square meters. State Emergency Service crews and a local fire team were involved in extinguishing the blaze.
Sumy region: Russians hit Shostka community with drones
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
On the night of June 3, Russia launched a drone strike on the Shostka community. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
"As a result of the Russian attack, about 10 private houses and one multi-storey building, along with other infrastructure, were damaged. Response teams are currently assessing the damage and clearing the area," the regional administration said.
