Russia aims to boost forces in Kharkiv region — Ukraine’s 429th Regiment

Commander of Ukraine's 429th Separate Drone Systems Regiment ACHILLES, Yurii Fedorenko, shared the information on Espreso TV.

“Regarding Kupiansk, the Russians are following a scenario today similar to what they used in other cities, including Vovchansk. Russian invaders systematically strike the city, mainly using aviation. Unfortunately, these attacks make the city unsuitable for rapid recovery. However, I am confident that we will manage to hold the city; the Russians will not be able to occupy it. When we talk about left-bank Kupiansk and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, the Russians have been stuck here for a year and has not achieved any battlefield gains,” Fedorenko said.

He also emphasized that Russian forces currently incapable of occupying Kupiansk. However, they will try to build up their offensive potential in the Kharkiv region.

“In the short term, the Russians have no chance of occupying Kupiansk. However, Russian troops will try to increase their presence in the Kharkiv region. This concerns the Dvorichna direction as well as Vovchansk. Russian forces have also been quite active for a long time in the area of the Lypetsk community, but have had no success there. Therefore, the prospects of the Russian advance on the front depend on the number of resources and personnel in the Defense Forces. At the moment, the Russians will not be able to rapidly advance in the Kharkiv region,” he added.
