1-kilometer-long fields littered with Russian soldiers’ bodies — Ukraine’s 72nd Brigade
Lt. Col. Andrii Nazarenko, commander with the 72nd Brigade's Black Zaporozhians Drone Battalion, says that Russia is stretching its forces and resources by attacking from 7-10 directions simultaneously
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The Russians have far greater manpower - they see it as a mere resource, while for us, these are the lives of our soldiers. We value and protect them as much as possible. The enemy treats them only as resources, losing over 100 troops daily just on our front. Runways over 1 km long are strewn with 130-140 enemy bodies each, and there are at least a dozen such runways," Nazarenko noted.
According to the commander of the 72nd Black Zaporozhians Drone Battalion, they are doing everything possible to save the lives of their soldiers and to advance technological capabilities to the fullest.
"The aim is to reach the border of the Dnipropetrovsk region by May 9 on our front. We've already seen massive assaults, with hundreds of troops concentrated on just a few runways. We did everything to destroy them. Our goal remains the same. Every day we work to strengthen our forces and resources because you can never have too many. We prepare daily for possible large-scale attacks and will do everything to protect our land and prevent the enemy from advancing even an inch," Nazarenko said.
The lieutenant colonel added that the Russians are now expanding the front and trying to achieve success in other areas to level the front line.
“The Russians are beginning to stretch its forces and means, attacking from 7-10 directions simultaneously, only in our section,” emphasized Nazarenko.
- Over the past day, the Russian army lost 1,100 troops at the front. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 36 artillery systems and 32 armored combat vehicles.
