The two officials also discussed the situation in the Middle East, U.S. support for Israel in its fight against Hamas, and efforts to prevent Iran from developing or acquiring nuclear weapons.
On June 4, Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, met with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington. They talked about meetings with Russia in Istanbul and the next steps in the negotiations.
