Quality of Shahed production in Russia declining as quantity rises — military expert Zgurets
Serhiy Zgurets, a military expert and analyst at Defense Express, says that while Russia has managed to boost the production of Shahed UAVs, their quality has significantly deteriorated
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The enemy persists with large-scale missile and combined attacks as a means to exert a terrorist influence on our society," explained Zgurets. "Russia aims to demonstrate that they possess sufficient forces and resources to continuously bombard Ukrainian territory. I believe this is primarily a propaganda tactic."
The military expert emphasized that the number of Shahed UAVs destroyed by electronic warfare systems is increasing.
"The Russians have amassed larger stocks of Shahed UAVs and have increased their production rate. However, the quality of these drones is declining. Notably, several Shaheds have entered Belarusian territory, which suggests manufacturing defects. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are increasingly neutralizing these UAVs without direct physical engagement. For instance, during one attack, up to a third or more of the Shaheds were diverted and destroyed by our electronic warfare systems. This reflects a growing resilience on the part of the Ukrainian defenses," he added.
