Putin won’t enter negotiations with Ukraine, will try to destroy it by any means – diplomat
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine Andrii Veselovskyi says that Ukraine is the last obstacle to Putin’s advance toward Europe
He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.
"Putin will not enter into negotiations with Ukraine; he will try to destroy it by any means. What took root in his mind long ago now dominates, and all his actions are aimed precisely at this. Why? Ukraine is essentially the threshold he wants to cross to enter Europe. Then the question of the Baltics, Romania, Hungary will arise - effectively, they’ll be in his hands," Veselovskyi noted.
According to him, Putin can continue to carry out provocations on all these borders, and nothing can stop him.
"Will he threaten with nuclear weapons? He already does so constantly. Will he claim that Ukraine is creating a 'dirty bomb'? He will make up anything and stage provocations of any kind. There are many concerning elements along this path. One dangerous possibility is a provocation that could spark an uprising in a European country. For instance, in Slovakia, 200 people with hunting rifles might try to storm the parliament," the diplomat warned.
All types of provocations are reminiscent of Hitler's actions against Poland, when he started the war, formed his own forces, and then claimed in the newspapers that they were attacked. And now all this is in Putin's hands, Veselovskyi says.
“The only obstacle for Putin is Ukraine, which does not allow him to turn to Europe. If Ukraine retreats, it will sow panic in many European governments. It is not without reason that it is being written that there are serious contradictions in the Italian government: some support Putin, while others consider Ukraine to be the most important element of European security,” he said.
This difficult situation demonstrates the importance of the Chiefs of General Staff coming to Ukraine. This is an indicator that healthy European forces are aware of the threat and are ready to act, Veselovskyi said. Rubio's words that they will not wait for months, as well as the fact that the United States remains in NATO, indicate that there are sufficiently conscious forces in the United States that understand that the loss of Europe will mean the loss of the world war to China.
