He added that this could result in World War III.
"It is clear to everyone that this would be just one step away from a full-scale Third World War," Putin explained, adding that, in his opinion, "hardly anyone is interested in that."
Germany's intelligence services have analyzed military threats from the Russian Federation and predicted that it could attack the territory of NATO member states in 2026.
