Putin is forced into conditions where he cannot stop his aggression against Ukraine - General Mussayev
Alnur Mussayev, former head of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan, believes that Putin has lost any opportunity to withdraw from the war against Ukraine with the least political and economic consequences
He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.
"Finally, Biden has openly said that Putin is mentally ill, and due to his insanity and the presence of the 'nuclear button', the behaviour of the West and the United States is appropriate. The changes that are possible or impossible after the elections, in my opinion, depend on many things," Mussayev explained.
The general is convinced that the outcome of the war depends only on Ukraine and the West.
"First of all, Putin himself is driven into conditions where he cannot change his attitude, his aggression against Ukraine, he has no such opportunity. If he were in his right mind, he would find a way to freeze the conflict, to get out of the conflict with the least political and economic losses. But due to his schizophrenia, he is not able to do this. So everything depends primarily on Ukraine and Western countries, on their actions in the future," he added.
