Patriot should be here, not in places of zero missile threat - Ukraine's FM urges Borrell to provide more air defense systems

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba discussed the latest Russian ballistic missile strikes on Ukraine over the phone with European diplomat Josep Borrell. Kuleba urged to send Ukraine additional air defense systems as soon as possible

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and Minister of Defense Kuleba announced this on X.

Kuleba called for the speedy delivery of additional Patriot and other air defense systems capable of shooting down ballistic missiles to Ukraine.

The Minister also informed his European counterpart about Russian ballistic missile strikes on the capital and other Ukrainian cities.

"Ukraine is currently the only country in the world that is being attacked by ballistic missiles almost daily. Therefore, Patriots must be stationed here and now to save human lives, rather than remaining in places where the missile threat is zero," Kuleba emphasized.

The diplomats discussed steps the EU can take to help Ukraine receive more Patriots and other air defense systems as soon as possible.

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister expressed gratitude to EU High Representative Josep Borrell and the European Union for their support.

• At about 10:30 a.m. on March 25, Russia fired two ballistic missiles at Kyiv from the temporarily occupied Crimea. 
• A series of explosions occurred in Kyiv. The missile strikes caused injuries and destruction in several districts of the capital.
• In the afternoon of March 25, the Russian army launched ballistic missiles at Ukraine from the south for the second time in a day. There are casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure in Odesa. Currently, 300 thousand consumers in the city are without electricity.
