OSINT analyst explains why Russian army manages to advance in some frontline areas
Ruslan Mykula, co-founder and analyst of the DeepState project, noted that Russian army is stepping up its offensive where it manages to stretch Ukraine's defense and create “pincers”
He told about this on Espreso TV.
“The situation regarding the stabilization of the front can only improve when the contact line has a minimum number of different bends and has an appropriate number of infantry per 1 km of the front. This is exactly what happened near Pokrovsk. We all saw how the enemy was actively advancing towards Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in late August. However, due to the fact that the 25th Airborne Brigade, where the 425th Special Forces Brigade “SKALA” was operating, was redeployed there, Ukrainian defenders managed to organize a fairly strong defense line. By the way, there were a minimum number of different bends, so the enemy stuck and had only some tactical successes over the past two months - Mykolaivka and several forest strips nearby,” commented the co-founder and analyst of the DeepState project.
According to him, to the south, the Russian army is constantly creating “pincers” and stretching Ukraine's defense, which means that the number of personnel decreases by 1 km, and as a result, the enemy's attack becomes stronger. This way, there is no equalization of the bends, and the invaders are able to advance by creating “pincers”.
“If you look along the front line, a striking example is the area of Sontsivka (a village in the Kurakhivka urban community of Pokrovsk district, Donetsk region - ed.), where the enemy has broken into the village, is in the center of the settlement, but does not control it. The occupying Russian forces are scattered in houses and basements. There are no forces to drive them out or cut off their supplies. The result is a stalemate that will last until the enemy builds up infantry, makes its way there in columns and gains a foothold,” summarized Ruslan Mykula.
- On November 7, DeepState reported that Russian terrorists managed to advance in the Donetsk region and seized Novooleksiivka.
