Russian troops test modified guided bomb for first time on Kharkiv
Russia continuously tests modified ammunition, using the city of Kharkiv as a foothold for its training
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military District Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported the information.
According to him, Russian troops are trying to adapt "and use all their junk that is in warehouses against our peaceful civilians."
"We had the first strike on the city of Kharkiv on Sunday, on the territory of a private school. It was a KAB-250. The munition had wings and a GPS module," he said.
Syniehubov emphasized that the UMPB 30-D costs about $100,000, likely a bit more after modification.
For comparison, the head of the regional military administration noted that it is becoming increasingly expensive and difficult for the Russians to use missile systems. The Kalibr missile, for example, costs about $10 million. Similarly, the S-400 missile system costs about $2 million per missile, while the S-300 costs up to $500,000 per missile.
