“Now Russia is losing operationally and strategically”: Ukrainian serviceman on Pokrovsk direction
Ivan Tymochko, the head of the Reservists Council of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has said that the Russian army lost 150,000 personnel and thousands of armored vehicles near Pokrovsk
He shared this on Espreso TV.
"Looking at the situation around Pokrovsk, it seems Russia has gathered a large number of troops and equipment to try to break through. They have concentrated 150,000 personnel, along with armored vehicles and aircraft, which shows their goal is to reach Pokrovsk as quickly as possible. We can see the intensity of their attacks in both the Kurakhove and Vremivka sectors. This shows how serious and tense the situation is, as well as the tactical progress of Russian forces," said Ivan Tymochko.
According to British intelligence, during the battles for Pokrovsk, the Russian army lost 150,000 soldiers on the outskirts of the city. Russia is trying to keep both this force of 150,000 troops and thousands of vehicles stationed there.
"In this direction, the Russian army has lost 1,800 tanks, armored personnel carriers, and other armored vehicles - resources that could have been used elsewhere. With such forces, they could have breached our defenses at the operational level, potentially encircling our forces and achieving much greater results. So, in both operational and strategic terms, Russia is losing at this stage," emphasized the Chairman of the Council of Reservists of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Tymochko added that Pokrovsk is an important political target for Russian forces, so they will continue advancing using their “creeping” tactics.
