The Guardian reported the information.
“We have to put pressure on Russia to really want peace and to sit down and to talk with Ukraine,” she said, adding that Moscow is “playing games.”
The EU’s top diplomat also emphasized that talks can’t happen under constant attacks. “If they are, if they are continuing bombing Ukraine all the time, if there’s no ceasefire, there can’t be talks under fire,” she stressed.
Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office commented on the possibility of holding negotiations with Russia in Istanbul, stressing that while Ukraine is open to dialogue, it will not back down from its demand for a 30-day ceasefire.
