"No easy path ahead": Ukrainian Reservists Council Head Tymochko on duration of intensive warfare

Ivan Tymochko, a military serviceman and head of the Council of Reservists of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, highlighted that the ongoing enemy aggression aligns with Putin's political objectives

Tymochko shared his insights during an interview on Espreso TV.

"There are intense battles in the east. The front line is very active, but it is felt that the Russians, although they are fighting, no longer have the passion. The enemy is also beginning to understand that sooner or later, they will have to go on the defensive. Therefore, all Ukrainians at the moment must understand that our fighters are on the defensive and protect the entire territory of the country from the enemy that is very aggressive and angry. For the Russians, human life does not matter," stressed Tymochko.

According to him, Russia's aggression is connected with Putin's political plans.

"So far, Putin has warmed up the Russians well before the elections, giving them the illusion of so-called big victories and successes. This is what he wanted to please the Russians. Putin will continue to try to keep this intensity on the battlefield through his generals, at least until the end of this month. We should understand that it will not be easy. Ukrainian fighters at the front understand this, but in the rear, so as not to create illusions that either everything is lost, or we have to go on a counteroffensive tomorrow. Only with joint efforts will we be able to do this, but there is a lot of work ahead," noted Tymochko.
